Hannah Cecille is a writer, producer, director and actress currently living in the rapidly beating heart of the world, New York City.
A 2014 graduate of NCAA Football National Champion Clemson University (Go Tigers), Hannah has a degree in French Language with a minor in Journalism and Theatre Studies. Hannah currently serves as a Creative Producer at Instagram where she ideates, writes, directs, and shoots much of the content you see on Instagram’s Instagram account (super meta). As a content creator, nothing lights her fire more than first-person narratives. She believe in the power of storytelling and the ability it has to connect us as human beings. Whether behind the camera, or in front of it, telling the stories of raw and honest humanity is her passion. One of the highlights of her career thus far has been shooting a series called “Advocates,” that tells the stories of people around the world who are using their social platform to ignite positive global change. Shooting the meeting of Sir Elton John and Jonathan Van Ness is a close second. Whether it’s interviewing celebrities on the red carpet or interviewing Greta Thunberg about climate change, her mission remains the same- authentic, raw, and inspiring content creation.
Before making her way to Instagram, Hannah spent a year at The Food Network as a digital producer, working on series such as “Treat Yourself with Skylar Bouchard,” “Taste Test,” and a myriad of Facebook and Snapchat videos with your favorite Food Network hosts. She got her start in New York creating for the iconoclastic media company Refinery29 and spent two and a half years there writing and producing several series including; Adultish, Haute Culture, Test Lab and, entering its third season, the beloved How Two Love. Hannah also helped produce Try Living with Lucie and Beauty with Mi, two of Refinery29’s top performing YouTube series. Hannah has extensive experience as a producer and host across all social media platforms.
With whatever spare time she can find Hannah will be traveling. She has spent extended periods of time on six of the seven continents (Antarctica, someday) and documents her adventures on her instagram. She loves life, people and the passions great and small that define them. Born to tell those stories, Hannah is undaunted by obstacles, respectfully fearless in the face of adversity, and loves to make people laugh.
